We’re Awesome & We Know It
Is it tacky to call ourselves awesome? Oh well — it’s true, and you can always expect us to speak the truth. We’re not shy in saying that our logistics game is strong, our ethics are rock solid, and our team is the best of the best.
But the real thing that sets us apart? You, boo. Our Austin clients are the kinds of people who pull their friends out onto the dance floor, have great taste, trust the pros that they hire, and are brave enough to bend the rules of tradition in favor of having an authentic wedding celebration. Damn, we’re lucky.
My beige flag is that I am a bride-turned-wedding planner. It may sound like a #BasicBitch move, but it’s actually my secret weapon because I’m not beholden to the traditional “rules” of the wedding world. I worked in the industry, sought out mentorship from some of the best in the biz, and when my wife and I couldn’t find a planner who got our artsy-eclectic-luxe vibe, I made it happen for us. And with Gilt Haus, I’m making it happen for all of our kindred spirits, too. After all, I’ve been in your Dr. Martens, and experience is the best teacher. We’ll be immediate besties if you ever feel the need to ask me “do we really have to do this?” because my answer will always be, “What do you want to do?” Rules were made to be broken, babe. *Cracks knuckles.* Let’s do this shit.

We’re going to spend a lot of time getting to know each other once you become a Gilt Haus couple. But until then, here’s a few things you ought to know about me: I may have a bubbly, fun personality, but I run shit when I’m working; my fave part of my job is helping you do things your own way (a Gilt Haus specialty); and you better believe I’ll be hitting the dance floor at your reception if the DJ plays Britney Spears.

I wish “wedding fairy godmother” was a job title, since it’s literally my job to make your dreams come true, but c’est la vie. I’m down to play whatever role you need most — timeline planner, stress manager, planning bestie, water girl — if it helps get the job done. Especially if I get to use my DIY skills in the process; I love working with my hands, and creating something totally unique for my clients gives me the warm-and-fuzzies.
